Speaker Instructions
- The registration area is open from 07:00 AM IST every day from 6th to 9th February 2025.
- The projection format will be 16:9. Please use this format when creating your slide deck.
- Please keep your CV as the first slide in your presentation.
- PowerPoint 2016 and previous versions are accepted.
- If you are using slides for your presentation, please prepare your presentation slides using the DERMACON 2025 presentation slide template, which will be shared with you via mail or can be downloaded from our website Click here.

If you are adding media elements to your presentation slide deck, please note the following:
- Use the ‘Insert’ function to integrate media elements, such as images and videos.
- Limit the size of your videos and sound to 1GB and use formats such as
.mp4
and .wmv
if possible.
- If your video files come from medical equipment, ensure that special proprietary software is not required to play them on a PC.
- If you work on a Mac, choose Microsoft Windows-compatible fonts.
- Save and name your Presentation file with a
.pptx
extension for better compatibility.
- Please bring a copy of your PPT presentation on a USB stick, or another external hard drive, to the on-site preview room one day before, or at least 2 hours before your session.
- Strictly adhere to your allotted time.

You will receive a beep/bell 1 minute before your scheduled time, and the projection of the screen will be stopped automatically at the time out. Kindly cooperate with us for the smooth conduct of scientific deliberations.
Speaker Consent and Confidentiality
- According to Indian law, speakers must sign a hard copy of the speaker consent form, which we will send along with your involvement letter.
- Each speaker can access and modify their presentation but will not have access to other speakers’ presentations outside of their sessions on-site.
Moderator Instructions
The role of the moderator is as follows:

- Please coordinate with your panelists by forming a WhatsApp group for smooth conduct of your session.
- Keep your CV and your panelists' CVs at the beginning of your session.

- Prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint format.

- Total number of slides should not exceed 14 to 16.
- Each slide should contain 6 to 8 lines at most.
- Upload your presentation in the preview room at the venue 1 day before your presentation.
- Ensure that videos, graphics, or images in your presentation are compatible with the latest computer software versions (Windows 10 and above).
- Allotted time for the presentation is 5 minutes.
- You will receive a beep/bell 1 minute before your scheduled time, and the projection of the screen will stop automatically at timeout.
- AV staff will assist with displaying your presentation.
Guidelines for Oral Presentation – Award Paper
- Prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint format.

- Total number of slides should not exceed 14 to 16.
- Each slide should contain 6 to 8 lines at most.
- Upload your presentation in the preview room at the venue 1 day before your presentation.
- Ensure that videos, graphics, or images in your presentation are compatible with the latest computer software versions (Windows 10 and above).
- Allotted time for the presentation is 7 minutes.
- You will receive a beep/bell 1 minute before your scheduled time, and the projection of the screen will stop automatically at timeout.
- AV staff will assist with displaying your presentation.
- Identity should not be disclosed (e.g., name of the institution or guide).
Guidelines for E-Posters
- The E-poster will be displayed on a standard 49” LCD TV.
- File format should be PowerPoint (
.PPT
). Click here to download the PPT template.
- Maximum size of the presentation should not exceed 5 MB.
- The E-poster should have only 1 slide.
- Animation, movies, or sounds are not supported; please submit a static PPT format only.
- The resolution of the monitors used for E-poster presentations is 1920 x 1080 pixels with dimensions of 52.3 cm x 93.3 cm in portrait orientation. All presenters must set their E-poster resolution to match the monitor specifications.
Poster Design Specifications / Suggestions
- Poster should be written ONLY in the English language.
- Poster Number (on the top left corner).

Title of the E-Poster (should be brief and match the submitted abstract).

Names and affiliations of all authors (each author to be marked with superscript Arabic numbers such as 1, 2) along with their corresponding institute affiliation and addresses.

The logo of the affiliated institution/university should be placed in the upper left-hand top corner, while the first author’s colour photograph (passport style) should be placed in the upper right-hand top corner of the poster.

Arial font should be used throughout the poster with clarity to ensure readability from a distance of 1.5 meters.
- The title and subheadings should be written in bold.
- Avoid italics, as it is harder to read from a distance.

Be considerate when using colors for the presentation:
- Use only 2-3 colors to maintain a formal scientific presentation style.
- Choose background colors that contrast well with the font for better readability.
- Avoid bright or dark-colored backgrounds with heavy textures, as they can distract readers.

Ensure any photographs or figures in the poster are of sufficient size and quality:
- Minimum resolution should be 300 dpi.
- Limit photographs to 4-6, ensuring they are essential and relevant.
- Avoid irrelevant images, such as cartoons.
- Case report photographs should maintain standard quality for all extra-oral/intra-oral, pre-treatment, and post-treatment photos.
- Radiographs must be of good quality with minimal distortion.

Content of Poster Presentation:
- Research: Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, References, and Acknowledgment.
- Case Report: Introduction, Objectives, Case Operation Procedure, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Acknowledgment.
- Literature Review: Introduction, Literature studies, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

Include a Declaration of Conflict of Interest for all authors. If there are no relevant conflicts, this must be stated on the poster.

Data must be presented using units generally accepted in scientific publications (the international metric system is preferred).
